Babu Rathnam is an Indian film editor, storyteller, and moviemaker. He was associated with the film "Careful," released in 2017, directed by V.K. Prakash. He was born in Chegannur, in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. He currently resides in Ernakulam.His birthday is on March 6. His brother, Biju Rathnam, is a professional photographer, a sculptor, and a vlogger. He went to the MHS Puthancavu school in 1997. He graduated with B.com from Kerala University.
His other notable works include Day Night Game(2014), Kaanchi(2013) and Kakkipada(2022). He has also worked on a short fantasy drama, Vishuddha Arappiyude Onnam Athbhutha Pravarthi (2021). He was in charge of visual effects in the film. He worked as a digital composer in 16mm: Memories, Movement and a Machine(2008), a short documentary directed and written by K.R. Manoj. He has also worked on Aashiq Vanna Divasam(2021),Meezan(2021),Sadrishavakyam 24:29(2017),Bobby(2017),Rasam(2015),Kelvi(2014),Homely Meals(2014),Radio(2013) and Note Out(2011).
