The Kannada movie Mr. Mommaga is a directorial venture by N Raghavan. The flick is a remake of the Tamil movie Manjappai. The Tamil movie had a huge collection in the box-office, The movie’s director Raghavan has tried giving a fresh touch to the movie through the Kannada remake. One has to read the review to know whether or not the remake has retained the essence of the original Tamil flick.
Plot:
The movie’s plot revolves around an orphan named Ravi, who is brought up by a very affectionate grandfather in a village. The boy turns into a software engineer in Bangalore. Also, he receives the opportunity to go to the UK for a project in his work. Romance blossoms in his life. Before going to the UK, the boy wants his grandfather to spend some time with him. The grandfather is just a village simpleton, and his quixotic adventures go to the extent of endangering the boy’s professional and love life. The way the boy deal with the situations makes up for the rest of the story.

as the grandfather. Ravi Gowda is a new face, and his performance lacks consistency. But, there is some mettle in him which could help him grow as an actor. Actress Oviya appears gorgeous on screen, and she is one of the main assets of the movie.
Analysis:
The first half of the movie is packed with humorous scenes. The second half of the movie takes a sentimental twist. The performance by Rangayana Raghu is the main supporting pillar of the movie. Otherwise, some people may find it arduous to watch a remake movie.
What is there?
Ranghayana Raghu is the real hero in the movie.
The screenplay is engaging throughout.
