The ghost stories of Nagavalli have not spared the Kannada film industry.  Following the movie 6-5=2, the Kannada movie makers have come with yet another ghost thriller. The movie is by debutant director Navaneeth. There was considerable anticipation among the fans even before the release of the movie.  Let us see whether the movie has met the expectations raised among fans.

Plot:

An affluent business icon’s daughter is kidnapped.  But there is something beyond the mere act of kidnapping.  There is another parallel story in the movie.  There is a spooky bungalow that terrorizes people.  A team is curious to know what is happening in the bungalow, and they try to solve the mystery.  What happens to the team, and are they able to solve the mystery? The rest of the movie answers these questions.

Star Performances:

The actors in the movie fit into their roles with much ease.  Tilak has done the role of the affluent man, Rohith has done the role of a dubious criminal and Vijay Chandour has emerged as the dubbing artiste in the movie.  Each actor has taken care that the narrative is intact.

Analysis:

The story is very much clichéd and seems to be grinding the same flour over and over again.  The portions before the interlude seem to lag behind in the speed. But the lack of pace in the first half is compensated by a speedy story during the second half. The second half of the movie is packed with spine-chilling scenes and is better than the first half.  There are beautiful locales depicted in the movie.

What is there?

What is not there?

  • The movie has time-tested scenes to scare you.
  • The first half is quite dragging.

Verdict:

The movie would cater the needs of the audiences who expect a spine-chilling horror movie.
