Raghu’s aims at freedom of the forest in this film. Raghu explains his experience in Maasti Gudi. He says, "My wife and daughter did not recognize me when I show this picture. In Maasti Gudi, I play a mahout who lives in the forest all his life. The film also captures the life of my character from an age of 25 to 70. But in most of the scenes, I sport this look. The makeup takes 2-3 hours every morning. My makeup man Prakash had tried quite a few looks before we settled on this one. The materials have been brought from Mumbai. While there are no issues with the quality, it is the fact that I will be shooting like this through summer that is going to be the bigger challenge. We have 40 days of the shoot, starting from the second week of April, in the middle of the forest. The heat will pose the biggest challenge in maintaining the look right through the day. However, I totally love the story and the character I play, as there is a message that needs to reach people through this film.”
