Plot

The story is about a middle aged man Tukaram who shares a passion about food and archaeology.

His life takes a sudden turn due to a misplaced call Madhura that adds Tadka to his simplistic lifestyle.

The plot also follows the story of other side characters as we see Nicole and Sidharth’s story spice up too.

Star Performance

The film stars Nana Patekar as Tukaram Dalvi, Ali Fazal as Siddharth, Shriya Saran as Madhura and Taapsee Pannu as Nicole Anne Mascarenhasas.

All of them do a perfect job at portraying their individual characters.

Analysis

The film revolves around two couples, one is the middle aged food lover Tukaram who wants to take the accidental phone call with Madhura further but is too shy to meet her in person.

The second couple is the young Sidharth who goes on a date in the place of Tukaram and falls for Nicole who was also a fill in for Madhura.

Both of them try to hide their identities till the climax.

Towards the final of the movie both the secrets are revealed and they fall in love with each other and the love story becomes a success and they are able to live their romantic lives happily without having to have a fill in.

This time when on a date they won’t need a fill in person to go in the place of them.

The film has a lot of Comedy scenes.
It contains lots of romantic scenes too.

What’s Not There?

The Story progression is unstable in the film.

Verdict

The film “Tadka” is a cute love story that brings a warm smile on your face. The storyline and plot twist are both on point and engaging.

The story is beautiful and refreshing, all actors do a great job and Overall Tadka is a successful take on the plot and excellent direction especially the connection between food and love, love and feelings. It is a cute movie that you should definitely watch if you are looking for a romantic movie with a comedy take.
