Rocky S is now a well-known name in the fashion design industry of India. Armed with his amazingly creative brain and talent for fashion designing, he has made a sensation in this line by starting his own brand of fashion with the name “Rocky S”. Moreover, he is the first Indian fashion designer who has launched his own brand of perfumes in the market and named it as ‘Rocky S Noir Femme and Rocky S Noir Pour’, which were unveiled in 2007 by the renowned actor , in a special show that was hosted by actress .

Rocky had a knack for suggesting designs of fashionable dresses from his student life and by the time, he passed graduation in commerce, he took the vital decision of shaping up his career in this field. Consequently, he joined J.D. Institute of Fashion Designing for undergoing a vocational course on this subject.

After completion of this course, he joined the Rupam Fashion, a prominent clothing company of India and worked there for three years as the chief designer. During this period, he got several orders of costume designing from the tinsel world of Bollywood, starting with the dress designing assignment of famous actor . Hence, he finally decided to leave his salaried job in Rupam and started his own venture, with the inauguration of his own boutique ‘Rocky S’ in Juhu, Mumbai. He also participated in various fashion shows to exhibit his designed apparels for both men and women, including IGEDO Fair in Germany, on September 1996. Apart from designing for Bollywood actors, he now also designs wedding dresses, common formal and casual wear, and even home accessories, in collaboration with a corporate house, named Sepia.
