CAST & CREW
Fugly is a movie about four friends, who fight against a corrupt police officer who constantly blackmails them and extorts money from them for not framing them in a murder which the officer committed himself.
Following this, are a series of events and circumstances that put their friendship and character to test.
Kiara Advani (Devi) gives a commendable performance. At first, it seemed that she was put in the movie, simply because of her looks and to increase the glam quotient, however, later on, she shows the real deal why she was selected.
Purely and solely by talent. Her performance leaves us awestruck. However, Jimmy Shergill’s character keeps the audience engaged and interested in the plot. Mohit Marwah too makes a confident debut.
FUGLY is set in the lanes of Delhi, because of which, the movie focuses on corrupt politicians, rampaging cops, human traffickers and parties for the rich and powerful. The film is pretty decent as it manages to catch the attention of its audience by showcasing and mirroring the problems faced by today’s youth, and their way of tackling and getting along with them.
The film engages its audience through its story and plot twists.
Sheirgill’s performance proves to be the backbone of the whole movie.
The beautiful locations of Ladakh and the scenic beauty are eye catchy.
The soundtrack is one of its key weapon and is shot beautifully.
What’s Not there?
The dialogues and the execution could’ve been better.
Not much was expected out of Vijender Singh, but his performance is a failure in the eyes of the audience.
The building up of the characters was not doing justice to the series of events.
If you are bored out of your wits and love watching drama and thriller, you can go to this movie.
