Vijender Singh

Vijender Singh is an Indian boxer, who has won the bronze medal for India in the China Summer Olympics held in the year 2008. Vijender Singh was born on 29th October 1985 in Kalwas village near Bhiwani, Haryana. Vijender Singh is 29 years old and measures 5 feet 10 inches and weighs 75 Kilograms. He did his primary education in his village Kalwas itself and then did his secondary education in Bhiwani. He completed his schooling from Vaish College. He was very much interested in boxing and because of that he did not concentrate on studies. His family, particularly his elder brother Manoj was a huge inspiration for him.Vijender practiced boxing in the Bhiwani Boxing club. Jagdish Singh, who was a Boxing coach in Bhiwani and a Former National Level Boxer, identified Vijender’s talent. Subsequently, Vijender was trained under Indian Boxing coach Gurubaksh Singh Sandhu. 

Vijender Singh entered into Bollywood with the movie called “ Fugly Click to look into! >> Read More... ” which is a thriller, produced by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

His father Mahipal Singh Beniwal was a bus driver. His mother was a housewife. His father used to work extra hours to meet the educational expenses of Vijender Singh and his brother Manoj, who was also a Boxer. 

Vijender Singh fell in love with Archana Singh, who is a software engineer and she belongs to Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. She was working with the British High Commission when they loved each other for four years. They both informed about their love to their respective families and the family members accepted their love and got them married on 17th May 2013.
