ANALYSIS:

Aditya Singh Rajput is a common man like all of us. He loves his wife, Sunaina, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan, and they are expecting a baby. Unfortunately, all turns hell for Aditya as he loses his child and wife in the collapse of a building in which they reside. After a personal research, Aditya finds that the building collapsed due to structural integrity and failure of the floor system. Aditya threatens to fight the authorities by taking them to court with strong evidence. The fault lies with the builder, DigvijayPatil, who has bribed everyone so that no one will stand with Aditya. He is so powerful and rich that even ministers bow at his doors. Aditya is helplessly killed by DigvijayPatil. Where does the movie go from here, if the hero is killed? Well, Aditya does not die, but is instead rescued by a group of students after he is left for dead by Digvijay’s men. Aditya starts life afresh as a teacher in Delhi’s National College but doesn’t forget what killed his wife and his unborn baby – corruption. He loses all trust in the Legal system and decides to avenge his wife’s death by killing all corrupt officers in the system. Aditya meets Shruti when she forces him to driver her and a pregnant woman, on the verge of delivering, to a hospital but both of them end up doing the delivery in his car. They become close friends but she soon meets with an accident. When Aditya sees the unaffordable expensive tests that the doctors ask Shruti to take, he realizes that the doctors of Patil Hospital are fooling the poor people. Aditya helps a women claim medical insurance by exposing the hospital authorities. Angry mobs beat the owner of the hospital to death. The father of the dead man is none other than DigvijayPatil, who is stunned to see that the man he had killed five years ago was the reason behind his own son’s death. As Aditya continues kidnapping and brutally killing the most corrupt officers, the Police Department is found to be helpless and CBI officer KuldeepPahwa comes in to capture this elusive Gabbar. Pahwa finds out that the police officers were too lazy to cope with Gabbar and his crimes and also that they ignored constable Sadhuram, who was almost close to finding out Gabbar’s identity. Meanwhile, the whole city is terrorized by Gabbar and bribery reaches an all-time low. Pahwa, with the help of Sadhuram, arrest the students of National College, but they are too loyal to Aditya to give him up. After doing a lot of research and analysis, Pahwa realizes that Digvijay is the next one on Gabbar’s list. Digvijay is soon kidnapped and is kept in his own house. Gabbar tells Patil to call any minister who could help him but the fear of Gabbar was so wild that no one involves themselves. Gabbar and Patil fight with each other resulting in Patil’s death. Aditya surrenders himself to the police the next day and is sentenced to death for mass killing, but there is a huge protest as students block police van, carrying Aditya, from going to jail. He calms the protesters and talks about the change in society. Shruti breaks down while Aditya is taken for hanging. The film ends with Gabbar saying his dialogue ‘Tera Kya HogaKaliya’, a famous line from Sholay.
