It shows the life of different people wanting or having a child. It ranges from different emotions- high to low, but sadly, this movie has nothing new to offer.
Plot-
Where someone has to rush into a commitment due to a surprise pregnancy or having miscarriages, or adopting a child, the movie covers almost all aspects of a person or family wanting a kid for the first time. There is nothing unconventional or different about this movie, it is just like you expect a pregnancy movie to be. Whatever the story of the parents, it ultimately shows that in the end, having a kid will be the best decision ever.
Analysis-
The movie has nothing new to offer. Although it is a comedy, it seeks to reinforce the idea that children ultimately bring happiness, and how men and women feel differently about their roles and responsibilities as parents emotionally. The movie starts to seem obvious after some time. You can even feel that it starts to get kiddish.
Star Performances-
The fancy stars have tried to do justice to the performances they have been assigned, however the roles were stale. The actors did put in the best efforts, but with a predictable script, there is nothing much the actors could do.
Verdict-
This movie recaps what you must have read or heard somewhere or the other about parenthood. Watch it if you would like to visualize the bestselling book that it has been inspired from.
