Chris Pratt has given the voice for Emmet, and Will Ferrell has given the voice for the evil tyrant. Emmet is a nonentity who figures in the LEGO. Emmet sticks to rules always. He is mistaken for an extraordinary individual who holds the solution for saving the world. He is drawn into a group of strangers who are out on a quest to prevent Evil from taking over the world. Emmet has the least faith in himself and is ill-equipped. But, he will not relent.
The directors have sprung a surprise on the audience with a cleanly knit screenplay. The movie is in a lighter vein and has plenty of action in it. The movie has an emotional climax that even some Pixar’s movies failed to project. As Emmet goes on the quest to beat the Evil, we as audiences are taken to some backdrops as Wild West, a Pirate Ship, and a Space Ship. The directors have given a youthful touch to the screenplay. The pirate Metalbeard is a combination of toys that reveals a youthful imagination by the director. The climax is moving.
There is a not-very-blatant performance by Ferrell that assembles every scene in the movie to give a meaningful output. Animation movies are viewed with pessimism. Bu, the LEGO movie is something that raises optimism that creative efforts do work. The movie is visually gorgeous, and the actors add to humor in the movie. Voiceovers by
