Nut Job 2 is an animated movie with a genre of Fantasy/Action mainly themed for children. The movie is not particularly memorable, but this animated sequel to the nut job will still appeal to younger viewers who have a lower bar of entertainment like children: animated talking animals, silly childish jokes, and sight gags at small things. The movie continues with the previous nut job movie and shows surly the squirrel played by Will Arnett This “Emmy-nominated comedian” and “Teenage Mutant >> Read More... in this children’s comedy. The 1 hour 30 minutes movie is sure to be delighted by children and give them a fun time.

Plot

In this sequel movie, Surly the squirrel with his animal friends get to know that the corrupt mayor of Oakton in the fictional city plans to bulldoze off their beloved Liberty Park which happens to be there home to make way for an amusement park for the economic profit of the city. Hoping to save the place Surly, Andie, Buddy, and the rest of the group join forces with Mr. Feng, a seemingly cute but innocent mouse who happens to be a fierce master of kung fu and saves the day by helping everyone.

Analysis

This movie surely will be an entertaining one with a small note of environment saving at the end of the say, and should surely be watched by children as they will also learn something in the process. The children will also get a favorite comic fiction character in the process.

Star Performance

The movie directed by Carl Brunker is surely fun though there are many small gaps in the computer effects which could have been more pronounced and sharper. Jackie Chan had been brought in to play the role of Mr. Feng who also happens to be a Kung-Fu expert. So, we can see some connection there.

What’s there?

1.The chemistry of the lead stars.

2.Creates a festive mood and lots of fluffy creatures.

What’s not there?

1.Execution is not good, and the makers lost their way in linking the right sequences in the movie.

2.Although they try to bring laughs, there is nothing to giggle in the story.

Verdict

A good idea with a bad execution has made the Nut Job 2 really a bad one with a lot of scope for improvement.
