Plot
Pitch Perfect 3 focuses on the lives of Barden Bellas after they won the world championship. Soon after taking the glory in, the Barden Bellas return to their mundane jobs, which they truly hate but can't do anything about. At the close of the year, Emily a senior, invites all of them to an event. While the group anticipates performing, they witness the rise of upcoming Bardan Bellas instead. They feel defeated and when the group is offered to perform on DJ Khaled's stage, there is no going back. Soon the group lands in Spain where they are greeted by two ever so handsome soldiers, Chicago and Zake. As they meet other bands later that day, they realize so much has changed since they stopped practicing. The other bands use instruments and that's when it hits them, the music of the mouth isn't enough to make money or keep them in the limelight. The rest of the movie captures their journey as they overcome their insecurities, develop strong connections, and relive the old times.
Star Performances
With such a notable cast it is unfair to coin a singular name as a stellar performer. However, the two names that outshone others include Anna Kendrick as Beca Mitchell and Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy. Anna flawlessly embodies the character of Beca with her musical vocals, adding to the depth of her character. Rebel Wilson, famous for her snarky sense of humor, keeps this trait her intact and manages to please the audience.
Analysis
Pitch Perfect 3, the last one in the series of Pitch Perfect, has various musical numbers and focuses on themes of sisterhood and camaraderie accurately. But it lacks when it comes to the screenplay, simply put there is no engaging storyline. Also, the plot only revolves around the competition, the execution of which wasn’t satisfactory or appealing to the viewers. The cast features Rebel Wilson and Anne Kendrick, who can mesmerize the screen like no other, but even their strengths are not highlighted correctly. There is no concrete conflict to be resolved, one of the main elements when it comes to storytelling, is seen missing here. This movie has a huge cast, yet fails to feature each of their growth as the movie grows. The previous movies enchanted the audience with their humor and storyline, but this one just doesn't reach the standards. It does provide an emotional goodbye to the series, the viewers loved so much.

If you are someone who has been for the Pitch Perfect series since day one, this film will not disappoint you that much - for the old time's sake. But to a fresh viewer, the flaws of Pitch Perfect 3 are quite obvious. It is advised to not watch it if you want to consume a good movie after a tiresome day.
