Story

The story is about a normal salesman Michael whose life takes a turn when he is exhorted by an unknown stranger.

Cast

The cast includes Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Jonathan Banks, Elizabeth McGovern, and Sam Neil.

Plot

Michael is an insurance salesman who was coming back to his home after work, but today he met an unknown person who exhorted him to find the details about a passenger. He was totally unaware of what was going around and has no idea about this passenger but he followed him to the last station. To save himself and get out of the situation he starts finding the information about the person on the train. Michael gets into more trouble while looking for the passenger’s identity, and lands up in a criminal matter. He also realized that every person’s life on the train is at risk, and he has to do something so as to save everyone.

The movie is full of suspense and thriller, and until the end, we cannot reach any conclusion. Jaume Collet has really come up with an innovative thought. Michael’s role also was quite suspicious in the movie because it was never made clear what was exactly going on his mind. The climax cleared all the confusion which is really shocking but worth appreciating. The film is also about anyone can get caught in such situation, and how one’s mental ability work to think in such situation.

Analysis

The movie got average ratings and got appreciated by the audiences. Jaume has really put all her imaginative thoughts in the movie and had too many surprises that could shock the viewers.

What’s there?

1. The suspense and mystery in the movie are one of the highlights.

2. The Character of Michael is another attention seeking thing about the movie.

What’s not there?

1.There could have been a bit of more focus on the other characters also in the movie.

2. The visualization could have been more effective.

Verdict

Situations can be worse at any phase of our life, and the movie basically shows how to work in such situations.
