Plot

The Crawleys were informed that the King and Queen are on a visit to Downton. So, they are getting ready to welcome their royal rulers. But, they are shocked when they come to know that the King and Queen come with their own chefs and helpers. How do the Dowton staff feel? Why do the Downton people and the royal chefs and helpers clash? Watch the film to know the rest.

Star Performance

The film is a complete performance-oriented one and everyone had performed well. Special mention is to Maggie Smith and Imelda Staunton, who attract with their natural performances

Analysis

The story is simple yet sensitive. The feelings of the people, when someone who comes to their place and sidelines them is shown neatly. The Crawleys' love for their royal family is neatly portrayed. The characterization is good and the stars fit well in the roles. Tiny expressions are covered well and the artists had done a fantastic job. The subplots are neatly designed without affecting the main theme. Within a short time, the director had narrated everything that he wanted to. The production and technical values are perfect.

Verdict

It is a good film with a lot of characters and almost all the characters are given equal importance. The stars performed well and impress the audience. It’s definitely watchable!
