After their initial meetings, Judith figures what Harley wants, but move away from him. Well, Harley, a rich falsely concerned billionaire and with Brice acting slightly aloof, Judith goes on a whirlwind romance with Harley. The clichéd Tyler Perry touch continues for the rest of the movie too.
Analysis:
“Temptations: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” is a confused amateurish attempt at this genre of film-making. The acting in the movie is very second grade, and the screenplay feels like it was written in a day or two. It does not meet the usual “Tyler Perry” standard, which is pretty average anyways. The circumstances with which the characters chance upon each other are mundane. Kim Kardashian, well she should have just stayed in a place where she was comfortable, which is reality TV. “Temptations: CoMC” takes the norms of acting and directing standards set by Perry to a whole new low.
Star Performances:
The performance of the cast was not worth a mention and the cheesy dialogue delivery with the dramatic screenplay made the people cringe. The fake accents and the over-the-top theatrics were so 90’s; we feel we are back in our baggy pants and with our high school date. Even by those standards, Tyler Perry could have done better.
What’s there?
1. You can watch this movie with your friends, so that you are traumatized for the rest of the day, and you are forced to go outside and do something fun.
What’s not there?
1. Good acting talent, a non-volatile screenplay.
2. Slightly realistic or a good story line.
3. That fake accent by Vanessa Williams.
4. Dramatic flair (fully unnecessary).
Verdict:
Tyler Perry should have watched his film before presenting us this mess.
