does Shirley, Madea’s niece in the movie. She comes to know that her health is deteriorating, and she desires that her family members are there. All of her three children are adults with their own worries. They are not in a position to take care of their mother. Now, Madea is in charge of handling the situation. Madea seeks the help of reckless Aunt Bam (Cassi Davies) to unite the family. Thus, Madea helps Shirley deal with the crisis situation.
Shirley is diagnosed with cancer spreading in the brain. She puts up courage and gathers herself for the final moment. She calls up her three adult children to reveal the news. But, her children are preoccupied with worries. Kimberly is an irate and authoritative real estate boss who wants to be away from her family. Tammy faces difficulty from unheeding sons and a haughty husband. The youngest of the children, Byron is preoccupied with his newly found girlfriend and wants to be narcotics dealer to get her all that she wants.
Shirley’s friend Madea hates the indifferent treatment meted out to Shirley by her children. Madea wants to resolve the issue, and she brings the family together for a dinner. Madea has to rush up things before it is too late. Then, a skeleton emerges from the closet and Madea overcomes the huge hurdles with a lighter vein and plenty of empathy for her people. There is a certain amount of toughness in the way Madea expresses her love for people.
Verdict: In truth, the family projected on silver screen does not have an inkling of happiness, and the audiences too are unhappy with the plot.
