The story starts in the year 2089. Elizabeth Shaw and Charlie Holloway, who are archeologists by profession, finds a star map that connects many ancient cultures. Peter Weyland, their CEO, funds this expedition, and travel in a vessel known as '

They arrive at their location in the year 2093, and find many structures and identify one to be the military base of the people lived there (these people are called as 'engineers'). David, a crew member, finds the head of a large alien and takes it to the lab for testing. He finds that it has got the Human's DNA.
The movie ends with the explanation about how they unravel the secrets behind the human DNA, and how they overcome all the hurdles, and succeed in their mission. This movie is uncertain and gives us more questions as well. But it offers fewer answers to those questions and doubts. We have to track the events with our complete concentration carefully.
If we miss a scene, it will wreck our knowledge of the story. Ridley Scott is a person, who handles the script wisely, and reveals the secrets and the suspense only when the situation arises. This script was given to the right hands, and Scott did a perfect job. He makes us get glued to our seats. Fassbender's performance as David was so cold and sinister. His role was an important one when compared to the other crew member's roles.
Charlize Theron's role was average and underdeveloped.

was a misfit for his role. The age makeup for him to show him as a hundred-years-old man was not proper. Kudos to the production design and special effects. They are stunning.
