Plot-
A low-level cocaine dealer of England, Frank, is conducting business with his friend, Tony and girlfriend, Flo. One day, his former business buddy contacts him for a deal. Frank borrows 48,000 dollars from Milo, and promises to return the money the next day, but the police come, and in all that hustle Frank dumps the cocaine in the lake. The police arrest Frank and in custody, they told him that Tony confessed to the deal. The police leave him the next day, and he goes to Moli without cash and asking for more time.
After a while, Milo’s patience runs out. He calls Frank and begin to torture him. Frank managed to escape and returns to Flo. Frank asks Flo if she wants to run away with him to Spain using the fund he saved for them. Frank makes a few arrangements. Meanwhile, Milo is ready to sort out things mutually.
Frank tells Flo that their plans have been called off and laugh at the thought of running. To take revenge, Flo takes all his cash and escapes in a taxi. Frank catches up to the car, and both stare tearfully at each other.
Analysis-
The director tries to keep it real in the best possible way. It’s the original gangster flick. The characters are refreshingly believable too.
Star performances-
Deyn gave a surprising performance. Richard manages to keep us on Frank’s side in his every sequence. Webb keeps the laugh coming from the motor – mouthed Tony.
What’s there-
Thriller, crime, suspense, real acting, and exceptionally great music.
What’s not there-
The fight between Tony and Frank could have been better to create drama.
Verdict-
It’s a good movie, with an authentic plot and it’s worth spending money on.
