28 Weeks Later is a horror film mixed with science fiction directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo Juan Carlos Fresnadillo was born on 5 December, 19 >> Read More... and produced by Enrique Lopez Lavigne, Allon Reich, and Andrew Macdonald. The cast has Jeremy Renner An independent film prowess that transcended from >> Read More... as Sergeant, Robert Carlyle as Don, Rose Byrne The famous English actress Rose Byrne was born in >> Read More... plays Scarlet, Imogen Poots British actress, Imogen Poots, had first appeared >> Read More... plays Tammy, Mackintosh Muggleton plays Andy, Harold Perrineau Harold Perrineau is an actor of American nationali >> Read More... plays Flynn, Idris Elba Idrissa Akuna Elba, most widely known as Idris Elb >> Read More... plays General Store, Catherine McCormack as Alice, Amanda Walker plays Sally, Emily Beecham plays Karen, and Garfield Morgan as Geoff.

Plot

At the beginning of the film, we are told that a virus called Rage has spread all over the city, due to which people are turning into zombies, killing each other and eating each other. Then we are shown a small house in which there were 6 people, safe from the virus zombies. Among those people was a man named Don, with his wife Alice, an old couple and two other couple. Alice was cooking some food from the leftover items in that house. Don was distraught to see the situation outside because he has sent his children to France on a school trip. This virus was spread in the same city, Britain, and this was the reason that Don’s children were safe from this virus. Here everyone was sitting at the table of food, there was complete darkness in their house, the people sitting there do not talk to each other and there was no noise of any kind. Then suddenly a door of his house starts knocking loudly. He says, please let me come in; open the door and save me. This was the voice of a 10-year-old boy. Hearing child’s voice, Alice says that we should open the door and let that child in. We then see he opens the door; it was afternoon outside; they had only made darkness in their house so that no zombie could see them. Will they survive the zombie attack? The rest of the film talks about it.

Star Performance

The zombies are intelligent, fast and thoughtful when turning others. Cillian Murphy Cillian Murphy was born May 25th 1976 in Douglas C >> Read More... was great in the lead role. The scenes with the view of London were nice. The angles and the movement of the cameras made the atmosphere. Also, the resolution and scenario were way better than 28 days later. The director kills so many main characters in such a short time that it’s a little unfair.

Analysis

It started off well, then took a nose dive, and arrived towards a rather underwhelming finish. With the different mindset from some people, it could be a decent watch through. The ending was not a remarkable and sometimes felt stupid on the scene like a helicopter was out of control due to a single person climbing. The movie is strongly recommended to you, if you like the apocalyptic genre.

What’s There?

  • The movie has very good action and suspense scenes

What’s Not There?

  • Few characters are very good but other few feels like underdeveloped.

Verdict

If you are a fan of this genre then this one probably was the best. The ending was a bit predictable. But the beginning and how the things were going were complex and fast enough.
