We all know the popular fictional character Phantom through comic picture books. Well, it appears that Ajith’s next film, Vedhalam has been inspired by the Phantom. A reliable source explained, “Just as Phantom saves the day when crime or injustice happens anywhere, so does, Ajith do with his heroic deeds. This explains the apt title for this film, Vedhalam”.
However, once they had decided on the title of Vedhalam, they came to know that Soori, an assistant director had selected this title for his film with

. As the project had not taken off, Ajith saw to it that they legally got the title rights by paying Soori for the title and that everything was settled officially before they made a final decision on the title.
The last parts of the film are currently being shot by the team in the city.
