, the Makkal Needhi Maiam President, had been condemning the Tamilnadu government for their interest in opening the TASMAC Shops amidst lockdown. When the Madras High Court released a verdict to close the shops, the government appealed to the Supreme Court against the judgment. Now, the government had got an interim stay from the SC to reply to the High Court regarding the case, stated Kamal Haasan in his statement. He calls the people to pronounce the verdict against the government. He posted on his Twitter page, “உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் பதிலளிக்க அவகாசம் வேண்டும் என்று இழுத்தடித்து, உச்ச நீதிமன்றத்தில் இடைகாலத்தடை வாங்கி விட்டது தமிழக அரசு. மக்கள் நலனில் என்றுமில்லாத உத்வேகத்தை, மதுக்கடை திறப்பில் காட்டும் இந்த அரசுக்கு தீர்ப்பு வழங்க, இனி மக்களே, நீதி மய்யமாக மாற வேண்டிய நேரம் வந்து விட்டது.”
