Dhanush’s last film 'Thangamagan' directed by R.Velraj after Velaiyilla Pattadhaari comes out as a lifeless melodrama film. It turned out to be a commercially unsuccessful film considering the VIP star ‘searlier films and it also received more negative reviews from the audience.

' with Director Durai Senthilkumar. The shooting was supposed to kick-start in December 23rd. However, it is now postponed to January 2016. The reason is, Dhanush wants to re-check whether the script has enough mass elements unlike Thangamagan., He also instructed his upcoming directors to add more masala elements to their scripts.
