There have been a number of super hit movies being released of late. But, irrespective of whether the movie is by a lead actor or not, the piracy issue is taking its toll on the cine field. Before release of new movies, the movies are circulated in the internet. This results in loss to the collections in theaters. The websites which resort to piracy are a challenge to the cine field. In a development, it was said that the admin of the website Tami Gun has been arrested. But, following that the movie Thupparivalan was released in internet and gave a huge shock. In a development, the movie Mersal is to hit the screens for Diwali.
As a precautionary measure against the piracy websites, the websites are being keenly monitored. In a development, Tamil Rockers website has released an announcement. We had announced that we would release the movie Mersal during the day of release in theaters. But now, within two days of release we are releasing the movie. Websites are making such announcements nonchalantly. It is not known when such a trend would be wiped out.
