After a disappointing run at the box office, ‘GOAT’ will be releasing early on the OTT.
Netflix had already secured the OTT rights of this movie before the release itself. If everything goes right, the movie will be released by 3 October 2024, less than a month after the release of the film. The movie is taking the same route as S Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’.

The movie was released on 5 September. The film was one of the last projects of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay as an actor, apart from the ‘Thalapathy 69’, which will be directed by H Vinoth.
The film was mounted on a budget of 400 crores, and various reports claimed it to have earned more than 500 crores. However, the domestic collections have barely crossed 240 crores, including all dubbed versions, making it a rare flop for ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay since the action thriller ‘Beast’, which had released in 2022.
