He stated that the actors and the technicians should come forward to reduce their remuneration and help the film industry. He also stated that his upcoming film is set in the backdrop of the 10th century and hence, a lot of actors had to be used for the war sequences. Mani Ratnam stated that he doesn’t know how he would finish filming Ponniyin Selvan. But, he is confident that he will complete it successfully. He also stated that technological improvement would help the makers in completing a film as per their wish.
