Ilayaraja’s Royalty Issue Will Be Solved Soon – Venkaiah Naidu

“Ilayaraja,” the popular musician had always been friendly with “S P Balasubrahmanyam” and “K. S. Chithra.” All on a sudden a legal notice had been sent to both of them stating that they should not sing the music composition of Ilayaraja for commercial purposes. This shocked everyone and people started criticizing Ilayaraja, who is one of the best musicians in India. Gangai Amaran, the brother of Ilayaraja said that Ilayaraja’s decision to claim the royalty is unjust. Meanwhile, Madhan Karky, the son of “Vairamuthu” said that if Ilayaraja claims the royalty for his songs, then the producers and the lyricists are eligible to claim the royalty. Now, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that the royalty issue of Ilayaraja songs would be solved soon. In his tweet, Venkaiah said, “I was surprised hearing controversy surrounding Sh SP Balasubrahmanyam singing Sh Ilayaraja compositions. Hope it gets positively resolved.”
