Meanwhile, Censor Board Regional Head Mathiyazhagan stated that Raja’s statement doesn’t make sense. If a producer wants to delete a scene from the film, then he has to get the permission from the censor board, says Mathiyazhagan. He also stated that he didn’t find anything offensive in GST dialogues in Mersal. He also said that the censor board didn’t receive any complaint about the film in the written form. The producer hadn’t approached the censor authorities, so far, said Mathiyazhagan.
