playing the female lead, is one of the biggest films of Indian cinema. The box-office collection of its Day 1 gross at the Chennai City Box-office is astonishingly high!
It has gone on to amass 2.64 crores in its first day and emerges as number 1 at the BO with Sarkar at 2.37 in its first day at Chennai city and placed at number 2. The films that follow are Kaala (1.76 crores), Mersal (1.54 crores approx) and Vivegam at 5th (1.21 crores) respectively. With 2.0 at number 1, it is going to be interesting to see which films slowly creep up the ladder in the days to come.
