Born as Mani Raman Chenathunad Kunnisseri Veettil on January 1st, 1971 in Chalakudy, Kerala, Mani started his career as a mimicry artist in Kalabhavan troupe. His cinema career commenced in 1984 through “My Dear Kuttichathan.” He has performed in more than 200 films. Among which 150+ films are in Malayalam and 30 films are in Tamil. Mani has also carried out in Telugu and Kannada movies. He is the winner of the National Award in the category of Special Jury Award for Best Actor for the Movie, “Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum.” He has also received Filmfare Award, Kerala State Film Award, Asianet Film Award, Vanitha Award and many more awards. This versatile actor left us yesterday, due to the kidney and liver ailment. He was admitted to the hospital in Kochi on Saturday, as he had haematemesis, which means vomiting of blood. He was put on the ventilator, as he had breathing issues. Though he was treated well, the doctors were unable to save his life, due to his poor health problems. Mani was survived by his wife Nimmi Mani and a daughter Sree Lakshmy. The industry is shocked terribly due to the death of Mani.
