Though he has been producing films for a long time, the actor struck gold with the superheroine movie Lokah : Chapter 1 – Chandra, which is now the highest grossing movie in the entire history of Malayalam cinema.

A year old interview of the actor is now going popular due to Dulquer’s views on the economics of cinema. In the interview after the release of Lucky Baskhar, Dulquer mentioned that the money should reflect in the quality of a movie, rather than the fees of the actor.

This was a subtle but caustic jab at actors, who demand exorbitant fees in exchange for their contribution to certain projects, which is also one of the actors why both Hindi and Tamil cinema are currently facing a creative slump. Dulquer Salmaan’s Lokah was made in a budget  which would be an average fees for an A lister Bollywood artist.
