Star Hero’s Venture Finally Up For OTT Release After Months

After months, Mammootty’s venture is finally up for release on the OTT.

According to the recent reports, Mammootty’s detective comedy Dominic and The Ladies Purse has been acquired by Amazon Prime Video for the digital release. The movie had released in early February 2025.

Starring Mammootty in the lead role, the movie was Gautham Vasudev Menon’s directorial debut in Malayalam language. Gautham is well known for his work in Tamil cinema, and has occasionally directed and acted in Hindi and Telugu movies as well.

While Dominic and the Ladies Purse didn’t tank at the box office, it wasn’t a blockbuster success either. Mammootty last starred in the action drama Bazooka, which turned out to be a box office dud. The only successful venture for the superstar was ironically an AI based portrayal in the investigative thriller Rekhachitram, which released in early 2025.
