Indira Lankesh Against Making Movie Of Her Dead Daughter

AMR Ramesh is one among the noted directors in the Kannada cine field. He took up the task of directing a movie based on the killing of Gauri Lankesh. He has stepped into trouble following a legal notice that has been sent to him. The legal notice has been sent by Indira Lankesh, mother of Gauri Lankesn. The advocate of Indira Lankesh, whose name is Shankarappa has forwarded notice to AMR Ramesh and the Kannada Film Chamberof Commerce demanding that the director drops his plans of directing the movie. In the notice, it has been mentioned that civil and criminal cases would be filed against the director if he goes ahead with the plan to direct the movie.

AMR Ramesh revealed in an interview that he had worked together with her brother Indrajith Lankesh and he has come to known her through him. He also added that her death happens to be a loss for him also. He spoke of Gauri Lankesh and said that the journalist had relished his works and had appreciated his extensive researches before getting into work. Also, he added that he waited for the police to corner the criminal who took away her life.
