VG Siddhartha, the Cafe Coffee Day founder, got out from his home on 29th July telling that he had been going to Sakleshpur to his coffee estate. But after getting into his car he directed his driver to go to Mangalore. When they reached the Ullal bridge across Netravati River, Siddhartha asked the driver to stop the car and got down and told the driver that he wanted to go for a walk. He asked the driver to wait and after waiting for a long time, the driver searched for his employer and as he could not find him, he informed VGS’ family and filed a complaint at the police station.
After a couple of days, Siddhartha body was found and it was sent to autopsy. The forensic report stated that Siddhartha’s lungs had a huge amount of water and his death happened due to drowning. It is also to be noted that Siddhartha visited his father a couple of days before his death. Siddharth's father was in coma and yesterday the 95-year-old Gangaiya Hegde passed away at the Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Hospital.
