We are grieved by the death of some celebrities in the year 2015. Here is a list of Tollywood celebrities who died in 2015. 

Ahuti Prasad


Famous Tollywood comedian and character artist Ahuti Prasad debuted with the 1988 flick Ahuti. He had worked in over 100 flicks, mainly in Telugu. He also appeared in one film in Tamil and Hindi. He passed away on January 4, 2015, owing to health related issues.

'V. B. Rajendra Prasad'

Veteran Tollywood producer V B Rajendra Prasad produced 16 flicks, and he had also helmed direction for some flicks including Dasara Bolludu, which was a great hit at that time. This flick starred legendary ANR. Famous Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu is the son of this veteran. He was a very amiable person in personal life. He breathed his last on January 12, 2015, due to serious respiratory issues.

' M S Narayana'

Veteran comedian M S Narayana with over 750 flicks to his credit was indeed a king of comedy. He has 5 Nandi awards to his credit. He had also worked in a couple of Tamil flicks. He had been working in the industry for over three decades. His essaying of a drunkard brought him laurels. His spoof of famous heroes in Mahesh Babu starrer Dookudu made him a familiar name in Tollywood. He breathed his last on January 23, 2015, due to multi-organ failure.

' D Ramanaidu'

D Rama Naidu is an acclaimed producer of several languages. His 1964 flick Ramudu Bheemudu won him recognition and since then there was an upsurge in his career. He had directed and produced several flicks in Tollywood which became superhits. He has the Guinness Record of producing the maximum number of flicks produced; he produced 150 flicks in 13 different languages. He is the coveted winner of the Dada Saheb Phalke Award and Padma Bhushan award. Famous actor Venkatesh is his son. He breathed his last on 18 February 2015 due to prostrate cancer. 
 

Aarthi Agarwal

Aarti was considered to be Tollywood’s favorite actress for a period. But later she faced flops and failed personal relationship. She had acted in around 21 flicks including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. It is said that she passed away owing to cardiac arrest. She was just 31-year-old then. Earlier, she was fighting weight gain problem and pulmonary illness. For that, she took some treatment that ended in some complications.  She breathed her last on June 6, 2015. 

' Edida Nageswara Rao'

Legendary producer Edida Nageswara Rao was known for flicks like Sankarabharanam, Swati Mutyam, and Swayamkrushi. The flick Aapathbandavudu was produced by him, and it received a good response. He was considered for the coveted Dada Saheb Phalke Award. Three of his flicks have received National Awards. His association with director K Vishwanath is indeed noteworthy, and they joined hands for six flicks. He breathed his last on October 4, 2015, at the ripe old age of 81.

Kallu Chidambaram

This famous comedian of Tollywood debuted with the 1988 flick Kallu. He also garnered the Nandi award for his wonderful performance in this flick. With over 300 flicks to his credit, Govinda Govinda, Ammoru (which earned him a very good name) and Chanti are the notable flicks in his career. He had a good rapport with filmmakers S V Krishna Reddy, EVV Satyanarayana, and Relangi Narasimha Rao, who considered him favorite. He breathed his last on 18 October 2015 owing to age-related issues.

' Mada Venkateswara Rao'

Ace Telugu actor Mada Venkateswara Rao, who is primarily known for his comic stint, attained fame with the 1977 flick Chillara Kottu Chittemma. Having around 300 flicks to his credit, this ace comedian had also worked in other languages .It is said that he was the initial choice of several directors during his heydays. Though he appears in few scenes, he is one actor who vibes with the audience. Lambadolla Ramdas, Muthyala Muggu are a couple of flicks for which he is noted. Before entering the film industry, Venkateswara Rao was a stage artist. He passed away on October 24, 2015, owing to age-related issues.

Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao

Famous Tollywood comedian Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao attained fame through the 2002 flick Avunu Vallidaru Istapaddaru. He played the role of a meek husband in the movie. He has over 300 flicks to his credit. Before venturing into films he was a drama artist and had worked in over 1000 plays. Some of his renowned flicks are Simhadri, Donga ramudu, and Party, Evadi Gola Vadidi, Sathyam, etc. Lakshmana Rao had worked with topnotch actors and directors of Telugu cinema. He involved himself in around 70 films in a career spanning a decade. He passed away on November 2, 2015
