Ravi Varma is an actor who has been working in the Telugu film industry as a supporting actor and side character for a long time. Born in Andhra Pradesh in a very affluent family, Ravi had hopes of getting into the film industry since his early days in school, where he was inspired by the cinema. He was raised in Hyderabad from where he completed his graduation in engineering. After his graduation, he moved to New York City to complete his post-graduation and he later got a job in NYC itself. During his time in New York, Ravi decided to go ahead and attend a few acting classes and he started enjoying acting a lot and decided to take a risk and quit his job and then he moved back to India.
In 2005, he was offered a role in what would become his debut film Vennela. Ravi Varma is an Indian actor who is well known for playing supporting roles in Tamil films. He was born in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh and raised in Hyderabad since he was two years old. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology in Hyderabad.
He went to New York to pursue his masters, where he started working at the Indian news web portal company, Rediff, after completing his studies. Tired of his nine-to -five profession, he set out to find an alternative career in the field of acting, an art which had always fascinated him.
He joined the New York Film Academy for a three-month course in acting. Soon afterward, he auditioned for and bagged the role of Sayeed in Deva Katta’s rom-com “Vennela” (2005), starring Parvathi Menon opposite Raja. The film was majorly shot in the United States and barely ten percent in India.
It was lauded by the south Indian students in the USA and had a successful run at the box office. His next movie “Raakhi,” starring Jr. NTR, also thrived in the theatres, running for a hundred days in some of them.
