A Page In History Written By Jayalalithaa Tamil Article

We always want to excel in whatever profession we take. And two things are important for this. One is to make our ambition of excelling a reality and the second is to face all the problems that come in our way with great grit and determination. And achieving these two side by side is a challenging task. Nevertheless, our late Chief Minister Dr. J Jayalalitha achieved these two things with eloquent ease. A woman holding a distinct place for herself in the political world; bestowing it with her commendable administrative measures; is something that is worth mentioning.

Born as Komalavalli, Jayalalithaa Jayalalithaa Jayaram, more popularly known as Pura >> Read More... is indeed a charming person. Going back with a bit of her background, her father passed away when she was just two years old. Later, it was her mother Sandhya (original name being Vedavalli) who entered into the magical world of acting. At that time Jayalalitha was living in Bangalore and was pursuing her education. Then, she successfully completed her education in Sacred Heart Matriculation School (famously called as Church Park Convent) and she was a brilliant student so much so that she was given government scholarship to do her further education. She had also garnered Gold State Award for topping in 10th standard in both her school and in Tamilnadu. Her proficiency in English (she is so proficient in the language that one would be awestruck) and Hindi was so remarkable that it helped her in her later stages. And not to miss her command over Kannada, her birthplace being Karnataka.

Jayalalithaa had worked in more than 100 movies before she entered into politics. She may not have liked the world of cinema but she gave her best in films. In fact, she was one of the highly paid actresses during her hey days. She became a great success in her second venture itself, which is Aayirathil Oruvan Click to look into! >> Read More... , in which was paired opposite Dr. M G Ramachandran. She had also successfully lent her voice for few songs in Tamil movies that were filmed on herself. And she is a good dancer too.

There is no doubt that Jayalalithaa is one of the most charismatic and influential politicians of India. She has served as the honorable chief minister of Tamil Nadu four times. In fact it was her appeal as a movie actress and then as a politician that was instrumental in taking up the revered position of her political guide M G Ramachandran, who was treated as a demigod. And then the rest is history that she became the main power of one of Tamil Nadu’s illustrious political parties-AIADMK.

Whenever Dr. Jayalalithaa gives interviews she is very clear in what she wants to say and doesn’t beat around the bush. And her stoic and “not-withstanding nonsense” attitude is something that is endearing, given her stint as a politician. And one nature that sets her apart is the enigma that surrounded her.

Jayalalitha had made the lives of people easy with mixies, grinders, subsidized food etc. And not to forget rain water harvesting and providing bicycles to students. Also the manner in which she handled the repercussions of Tsunami, getting hold of Veerappan, and the Cauvery water issue was something exemplary.

Jayalalitha, was a determined and strong politician who rose like phoenix from the ashes whenever she was surrounded by problems. And the main thing is that she braved it all single-handedly. The one important thing to be learnt from this leader is: Be Brave and Face the World and not to be perturbed by problems. Self-assertiveness is one fo the strengths of Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa was like a demigoddess for those who adored her and the reaction by the people when they heard about her poor health is just an example of her popularity.

Jayalalithaa had been under treatment in Apollo Hospitals since 22nd September and no sooner her death was confirmed tributes started pouring.

Jayalalithaa was revered as Amma and that word is enough to tell about the influence she had on Tamil people. There are people who loved her the most and revered her with dedication. She was even jailed but that didn’t stop her followers to make her stand tall. She emerged successful in some court cases against her.

And now when one hoped that she would come back alive, this Iron Lady breathed her last; but not in our hearts. She has surely left an indelible impression in the hearts of the citizens.
