Sustaining in such a Film Industry sounds too difficult where one has to grasp the positives and cope up with the negatives. The ‘Aashiqui’ actress and model, Anu Aggarwal has done many movies but she is better known for her blockbuster debut Aashiqui. She has done several other films which includes ‘The Cloud Door’, ‘King Uncle’ and ‘Janam Kundali’. Her last work was ‘Return Of Jewel Thief’ in year 1996, after which she met with an accident and recovered from a 29-day coma. She is now residing in Bihar and is single. She practices yoga at Bihar school of yoga. After she met a near fatal accident, she never returned to Bollywood again.
Mandakini, the actress from the early 90’s was the leading lady in the
film ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ in 1985, for which she earned the nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award. The movie was a blockbuster hit and Mandakini gained popularity. In 1994 rumours of her affair with the dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim started circulating and photos added fuel to the rumours. But later she denied the rumours saying that they only had a friendly relation and nothing personal. Her last movie was ‘Zordaar’ in 1996 after which her career suffered a setback. She started quitting movies. She then released two pop albums but neither of them was a hit. She now runs yoga classes, a Tibetan medicine centre and is a follower of the Dalai Lama.
Mamta Kulkarni made her bollywood debut with the movie ‘Tirangaa’ in 1992. She won Lux Filmfare Award for New Face of The Year in 1993 for ‘Aashiq Awara’. She has done several other films including ‘Waqt Humara Hai’, ‘
’, ‘Baazi’ and few more. Things started changing from 1998 when she starred in the movie ‘China Gate’, the release of which was a huge flop. China Gate was the death blow to Mamta Kulkarni’s career. She started quitting movies after her role in ‘Kabhie Tum Kabhie Hum’ in the year 2002 as her role was not considerable.
Meenakshi Seshadri, the winner of Eve’s Weekly Miss India Contest in 1981, is an Indian model turned actress and dancer. Her few bollywood movies are ‘Shahenshah’, ‘ Damini’, ‘ Satyamev Jayate’, ‘Awaargi’ and much more. Her last movie was ‘Ghatak’ in 1996 after which she left the film industry to devote her time to her husband and children in the US where she runs a dance school.
