10. Swades

‘Swades’ is a story about a successful scientist working in NASA (Shah Rukh Khan) who returns to a village in India to take back his Nanny (Amma) with him to America but in the process, he rediscovers his roots. No doubt, it is one of the best movies of Shah Rukh Khan.

9. Queen

A Delhi girl from traditional family sets out for her solo honeymoon after the marriage gets canceled by the groom. This is a beautiful movie as somewhere each and every one of us can relate to it to some extent. Also, the best part of the movie is that the girl who returns back is no longer that shy, under confident, depressed, in fact now she is much more stronger, braver and happier.

8. Masaan

This movie has two different stories. One, about a daughter ridden with the guilt of a sexual encounter ending in a tragedy and her hapless father who is asked for a bribe due to this sexual encounte. The Second story is about a low-caste boy who is in love with an upper-class girl. This movie deals with the orthodox mentality of small towns. 1. Pk

PK HO KYA? Our top favorite movie. This story is about a stranger in a city who asks questions that no one has asked before. Known by only his initials, PK’s innocent questions will make you laugh hard on yourself. This movie not only deals with superstition but also with today’s reality and hypocrisy of people. One can watch this movie again and again without getting bored. This is definitely a must watch from our side.
