Manmohan Tiwari hails from Rishikesh and was one of the 16 suitors of Rakhi in an Udaipur Palace where Rakhi did the shooting for her super duper hit serial 'Raakhi ka swayamvar' for NDTV Imagine. He was one of the strongest candidate and at one time it was considered that Rakhi will never part with him due to his beautiful and witty one liners and his behaviour and treatment. When Rakhi visited Rishikesh to visit his house and family, she was greeted by a huge crowd with banners and as it was a discreet visit, it was suspected that it was Manmohan and his family who had leaked the news of Rakhi's visit through their friends and relatives in order to get instant publicity.

Not only that, it was Manmohan who, in one of the episodes directly refused t marry Rakhi saying that he cannot marry her before his elder brother's marriage. Ultimately, in the episode Manmohan was eliminated, he declared that his journey does not end here but starts from here. His body language clearly stated that he had joined the bandwagon of suitors to gain publicity and grab the attention of the tinsel town which he actually did as immediately thereafter, he bagged a role in the TV serial Jamunia on NDTV Imagine. Apart from Jamunia, he has also worked in Anamika which was telecast on Sony TV.
