Gul Khan was the producer of the show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. When Barun decided to quit the show to pursue his Bollywood dreams, he expected that Gul would replace him with some other actor. However, Gul chose to end the show altogether. This was also because fans loved Barun Sobti too much. Barun revealed in an interview that Gul had a long story all prepared for the hundreds of episodes of the show, but she still chose to end show. The actor also added every actor should at least once work with Gul, as she is one of the best things to ever have happened in his career.
