This twenty-five-episode anime series written and illustrated by Hajime Sayama has a colossal fan base. Despite the huge fan base, this anime is entry level for any newcomer into the anime world. The story begins with Titans, huge humanoid creatures with no emotions or sex; attacks human civilisation, causing breakdown for the human race. This anime revolves around adventures of Eren Jaeger and two of his friends determined to exterminate titan’s existence. In a nutshell, this is known for its character portrayal and animation wrapped in a splendid storyline and can be considered a full package of entertainment.

2. Zankyou No Terror (Terror In Resonance)

Rating: 8.3/10

This anime falls under the traditional psychological thriller anime with criminal masterminds, evil plans, and an amazing background story. This anime does incredibly well in putting you in direct stress situation as in how would you react in the areas targeted by terrorists. Moreover, it's amazing soundtrack is enough to overflow your thrills. It is the story of two high-school boys masked as a sphinx, attacks on a nuclear facility in Japan and flushes series of puzzles towards police department creating destruction and mayhem all over Tokyo. As the story proceeds, the truth which the bombers are wanting to exhibit to the world will definitely knock you off the chair.

3. Steins Gate

This is one of the most astounding time travelling anime which has been ranked in 4th in top anime series by my anime list. The story begins with a paranoid mad scientist Rintaro Okabe who suddenly happens to discover the way of sending text messages to the pastallowing him to travel between alternate Universe and alter the flow of history. As the story crawls, the characters are stimulated into action when they are forcefully put across various threads of present and past by another group called SERN. Steins Gate is known for its intertwining storyline and the scientific essence.

4. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Rating: 9.3/10

This anime has one of the most recognised storylines with a rather slow beginning and with the breathtaking action, you will be craving for every episode once the story hits its gross part. It is about the Elric brothers who are young alchemists, uses alchemy to bring their mother back to life, however, human reincarnation is a taboo. As they performed one forbidden act of alchemy, they had to pay a terrible price for their transgression which causes the elder brother to lose his arm and younger one left only with soul. The brothers embark on their journey to search philosophers stone as to gain back what they have lost but become the part of a huge conspiracy that endangered the entire nation.

5. Clannad: After Story

This animated masterpiece has a great impact on the audiences with a beautiful story and portraying spectacular character design and the hardships they go through. To make this anime more captivating and meaningful one must definitely watch its prequel. Initially, this anime depicts the events that occur immediately after those in the first season, the timeline here extends several years into the future where the protagonist named Okazaki Tomoya starts living together with his girlfriend after graduating from high school. Together, they face and go through unexpected challenges that await them. The other characters showed in this anime also plays a crucial role helping one to get a closer look at the ignored morals.

6. Naruto

This one true masterpiece anime is definitely worth a shot. Based on the manga which is written by Masashi Kishimoto, this anime is about a character called Naruto Uzumaki, a young boy who is an orphan and dreams big to become the Hokage of his village (The Hidden Leaf Village). The title Hokage means the leader and the strongest ninja of the village. The story revolves around the world of ninjas and their villages which are accustomed to nine powerful beasts who are inserted into the bodies of nine people and the last one; the ninth tailed beast known as Kyuubi is trapped inside Naruto Uzumaki. It is one of the most popular series amongst the anime lovers due to the amazing mix of emotion with comedy and action.

7. Tokyo Ghoul

This is an anime where two species are seen to be surviving together i.e. human beings and ghouls. Ghouls are those individuals who survive by consuming human flesh and live among human beings in secret. They have their own special abilities and capabilities such as speed, regenerative ability, etc. The story is about a college student Ken Kaneki, who hardly survives a deadly encounter between him and a ghoul and as a result he is taken to a hospital. When he wakes up, he finds himself to be converted to a half-ghoul as his body organs were replaced with the ghoul who attacked him. This is one of the best anime to be watched as it has a great and interesting story plot.

8. Death Note

This anime is adapted from the manga which is written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. It is about a young, intelligent high-school student named Light Yagami who accidently happens to come across a supernatural notebook. As the story moves ahead, he discovers how powerful the notebook is that allows him to kill anyone as per his wish by simply writing the victim's name in the notebook while getting an image of his or her face. The plot further follows his attempts to create a new and a better world by cleaning all the evil using the power of the notebook he owns. The ultimate goal he wishes for is to reign over the new world which he will create.

9. Dragon Ball

The dragon ball series is written and produced by Watson and Barry. This anime in total has 153 episodes and is about the protagonist son named Goku and people of Namek planet bridging their way across the super powerful villains. It has some parts which are needlessly extended, but It’s one of those shows which have the rare, but the priceless quality of feel to it. Anybody can just simply connect to the characters and feeling to be a part of their curious world, so carefree, yet fraught with conflicts. This twenty-five-episode anime is popularly known for its multi-genre appeal and also for its various cast of characters who face many dilemmas as the anime proceeds. The story being an alternate reality is about Lelouch vi Britannia and his sister Nunnally vi Britannia whose mother has been murdered. The grief of seeing her mother die made Nunnally no longer be able to walk. Further, the siblings move to Ashford Academy where their mother was a pilot, with a maid to take care of Nunnally. Lelouch resolves to pursue a much better world for his sister. As time goes, he discovers the real truth behind his mother’s death which makes the anime more interesting. He embarks upon a dangerous journey as the masked man Zero, heading a war against his place Britannia in order to get revenge to end it forever.
