Tarun Kumar Telugu Actor

Tarun Kumar

Tarun Kumar Bhatt, the child actor, can easily share a credit with Mani Ratnam who introduced him as a child artiste in Anjali which fetched him the national award. Later on, ultimately his recognition as a child actor made him the real chocolate hero in 2000s and he went to become the craze star in Tollywood then. But his success was short lived too. His success came early in Telugu films with Nuvve Kavali (remake of a Malayalam movie Niram) which was a smash hit at box office. After success of Nuvve Kavali, his break in Kollywood was with “Punnagai Desam’’ (R. B. Chowdary film) which was not well appreciated in the box office. Even his next Telugu flick’’ Enakku 20 Unakku 18", could not create the same magic of Nuvve Kavali. Later on with subsequent releases of films, he got stereotyped into an image of a lover boy or dream boy on the silver screen. He was the romantic hero doing all kinds of dancing and singing roles with Reema Sen, Trisha and Shriya Saran. After acting as child artiste in a couple of Telugu films, and before making debut as a hero, he had done many commercial advertisements for Rajiv Menon. The dream boy of Telugu cinema had appeared as a child artiste in a number of Telugu and Malayalam films (total 12 films). Before getting the offer of a lead hero in Nuvve Kavali, he also acted in ‘’ Vajram ‘’where cine goers had found master Tarun as young Akkineni Nagarjuna, the film was a super hit. After this role, he gave a gap in his acting career for 7 years and then became the youth heart throb in Telugu cinema. After acting in two Tamil films which was not at all success in the box office, he went back to Tollywood where he met with same fate. As films started bombing at box-office, he tried to remain away from arc lights and had set up a his own business by opening a pub in Hyderabad. After a 4-year long gap, he made his comeback again in Kollywood by signing Yuddham and Veta. Since he did not take interest in marketing his films well or did not even take up challenging roles, the actor had failed after a dream launch as his flops had outnumbered the hits in his career.
