K. Raghavendra Rao is a producer, screenwriter, choreographer and film director, who made his mark in Telugu cinema. A couple of films that he made in Hindi had mainly Jeetendra in lead roles. K. Raghavendra Rao and Jeetendra had worked together in twelve films and every film was declared a hit in 1980’s. He also directed some Kannada films. 

He was the director, who gave Sridevi her first major success in the Hindi cinema with Himmatwala. Later on, every time she was teamed with Jeetendra, it resulted in blockbuster hits. It was Raghvendra, who made Sridevi a child actor too and years later, he made to cast her in Padaharella Vayasu, which made her a Telugu star, and then in Himmatwala which made her a Bollywood star. 

His best film is Annamayya, which won him two national film awards was even a selective entry in International Film Festival of India. Kadiri Venkata Reddy

Kadiri Venkata Reddy (1 July 1912 – 15 September 1972) was a prominent Indian film chief, essayist, maker and creation administrator in Telugu silver screen, known for his spearheading work in fables, social and Fantasy movies. He was Born in Tadipatri, Anantapur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. He graduated with Degree of Bachelor of Science (BSc.) from Madras Presidency College. His first job was as a cashier for the Vauhini Studios in 1938. After that, Reddy was made production manager on the set of Vande Mataram in 1939. After Vande Mataram, he worked in three more movies as production manager and soon he became a director. His First movie as the director was in 1942, Bhakta Potana. From 1949 to 1963 he wrote and directed four of his works Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddhamu (1963), Maya Bazar (1957), Donga Ramudu (1955), Pathala Bhairavi (1951), Gunasundari Katha (1949). In which, Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddhamu (1963) was produced by him only. He worked with superstars of Telugu cinema. He has worked with S. V. Ranga Rao and N. T. Rama Rao, Chittor V. Nagaiah. The Film and Television Institute of India documented his film Donga Ramudu (1955) in their education module. Patala Bhairavi got praised at India International Film Festival in 1952. He has gathered three National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu - Pedda Manushulu (1955), Pelli Naati Pramanalu (1958), Satya Harishchandra (1966).He won Filmfare Best Director Award for Sri Krishna Satya in 1972. But before that His made a record in the history of Telugu cinema when Patala Bhairavi was a hit and at that time was screened over 28 centers for 100 days. He had four sons and five daughters. He died on 15th September 1972.
