Manasa Vikranth, also known as Manasa Hemachandran is a South Indian actress, from Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of Kanakadurga and Hemachandra. She is known for the leading role in a TV serial named Uthiripookkal where she plays as the female protagonist. Manasa is widely known in the Tamil and Malayalam industry for her role in that series.

She has also appeared in a Malayalam TV serial called Makalude Amma. She got married to Vikranth Santhosh in 2009, who is also a South Indian actor and was seen mostly in Tamil movies and also plays in Celebrity Cricket League.

Manasa has also acted in movies like Mrugashira, Romance, Moodar Koodam, Big B, Nooru Janmaku, Calcutta News, Kaaki, Nandanavanam 120km, Hanumanthu, Kaakai Chirakiniley, Jubilee and Aaj Ka Thanedar apart from her TV Serials.

 She is a very talented actress, having done movies of different types and serials, which got her fame and recognition in the South Indian Film Industry. Initially, her mother was against her getting into movies and she had to fight a lot for it.

As a child, she was very active in school and was sued to learn Bharatanatyam, which is a form of dance. She made a portfolio for herself but, was only allowed to use it after her school examinations. Her photos started appearing in Tamil magazines initially, and later on the cover page as well. Apart from being the cover girl, she also did a lot of advertisements in the initial stages.

Her journey as an actor was possible because of director K. Vishwanth. When she first got the offer of her first film Big B, she told her parents that she wasn't interested in studies, and wanted to become an actress.

When signed up for her first movie, she started getting more offers. During the time her first movie became a hit, she was already working for her second film, and never looked back since then, and became a successful actress.

She started off in Telugu films after her advertisements, and then came to Tamil and Malayalam film industry and decided to stay. She has done an excellent job in proving her talent to her mother and also to her followers and audience.

She is now comfortable acting in TV serials as well as in movies and is having a smooth career. She had great hope and determination, which led to her success and she is continuing it with the same spirit.

Poornitha Kalyani

Kalyani is popular for her screen name, Poornitha. She is a South Indian actress, born in November 23, 1990 in Tamil Nadu. She lives and rose in Bangalore and her mother tongue is Kannada. She can speak the Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Hindi and English languages. She is mostly seen in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. She started her acting career on her early age through some television series. One summer, while playing outside her house, a shoot is currently happening near her place. One of the artists did not attend and so, the production asked Kalyani if she can do the role and that was her very first offer in the industry. She became popular when she played as Julie in the 2001 Tamil drama film, Alli Thanda Vaanam along with Prabhu Deva. Her acting was praised for exceeding expectations of a child artist and was claimed to be mature and cute. Since then, she started to appear in various films when she was a child and then later, she acted as the teenage daughter of Raadhika Sarathkumar in the TV series Annamalai on Sun TV. She changed her name to Poornitha and performed in Marandhen Meimarandhen as a heroine that failed to become a box office hit in 2006. Then she was starred in the Tamil film, Prathi Gnayiru 9.30 to 10.00. She then acted in Malayalam as well as Telugu films. Poornitha also worked as an anchor in Super Mom of Vijay TV and changed her name again to Kalyani. She appeared in the Season 2 of Pirivom Santhipom and Pirivom and Santhipom on Vijay TV. She also did the TV series, Thayumanavan on Vijay TV and anchored in Super Singer Junior on the same channel. She was also an anchor in the Raj TV’s Beach Girls. Kalyani also did the Tamil action film, Shree followed by the Malayalam film, Kattuchembakam in 2002. Her next film, Ramanna was critically acclaimed. Then she did Jayam, Mullavalliyum Thenmavum and more. Kalyani was married through a formal ceremony with Doctor Rohit from Bombay on December 12, 2013. Their marriage is arranged but turned out to be a love marriage.
