Swagata

Swagata S Krishnan is an Indian singer, music composer, and songwriter. She was born on 15th February 1993 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her first television appearance was in Vaanampaadi on Kalaignar TV during her third year in college. She was one of the top six performers on the show. She has also appeared on the shows Hariyudan Naan and Super Singer. During her 11th grade, she won a gold medal in a prestigious Carnatic music event hosted by Sadguru Sangeetha Samaj, Madurai's equivalent of the Music Academy. Her name had shortlisted to the Music Academy's national shortlist of 14 singers.

Swagata was one of the 50 singers on the world music tour organized by legendary singer S. P. Balasubramaniam. Akshay, a businessman from Bengaluru, is her husband. Their wedding took place in the presence of their close family and friends in the Himalayan foothills and a setting near the Ganges in Rishikesh.
