Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Suresh, and Kalpathi S.Ganesh, a three-sibling producer team is a brain behind AGS Entertainment PVT Ltd, a film production and distribution company of Chennai. The company has been set up with a mindset that will develop and produce Tamil-language films(other languages dubbed versions too) for the country's booming cinema market. In 2006, the company had set up primality to cater the needs of distribution of films, but later went to surpass South India’s largest movie market in the coming years. AGS Entertainment initial output was to handle distribution of the best releases in Tamil Nadu.
Later on, instead of the distribution of other produce’s movies, AGS Entertainment went to develop and produce movies on its own banner. Thus, the AGS Entertainment set a target of two or three films in production by the year 2009 (Maasilamani), 2010 (Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam, Madrasapattinam,Bale Pandiya), 2011 (Engeyum Kaadhal, Yuddham Sei, Avan Ivan, Vellore Maavattam), 2012 (Maattrraan), 2013 (Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham), 2014 (Tenaliraman, Irumbu Kuthirai, Anegan), 2015 (Vai Raja Vai, Thani Oruvan), 2017 (Kavan,Thiruttu Payale 2).
Some prominent directors like Susi Ganesan, M. Raja, Yuvaraj Dhayalan, K. V. Anand, Prabhu Deva, Myshkin, Aishwarya R. Dhanush, K. Chandru had directed the above-mentioned movies of this production house.
