Arun Mozhi

Arunmozhi is a singer who used to sing in clubs and stages but grew up singing for albums as well. The singer is favorite of Ilaiyaraaja and has sung maximum songs for Ilaiyaraaja. His debut in playback singing was for the song 'Naan Enbathu Nee Allavo Deva Deva' in the movie ‘Soora Samhaaram' which had Kamal Haasan, and Nirosha in the lead role. Arunmozhi and K. S. Chitra sang the song. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music. The singer has a unique classical voice and was equally good playback singer when S. P. Balasubramaniam was ruling the industry. Amidst that, he was one of the singers, who made his breakthrough and recognition due to the grace of Ilaiyaraaja. Ilaiyaraaja is the only music director with whom he has rendered most of the excellent songs in his career.

The singer feels that every song of Illaiyaraja has been composed in best manner, but the only song which remains favorite for him was from ‘Johnny’ movie. The track was 'Kaatril Enthan Geetham' picturized on Sridevi and sung by S. Janaki. His songs include in films such as 'Dharma Seelan' which was sung by him and Swarnalatha, and the film released in 1993. Illaiyaraaja composed the music.
