Vidyasagar is an Indian Playback Singer, Composer, Music Director, Record producer Music director, Arranger, Keyboardist, and Keyboard Programmer with a melodious voice. The particular contributions of the talented Singer and music Editor came in the south Indian movies. He has the unique ability to play all kinds of instruments, particularly Keyboard, piano, guitar, vocal. He has worked dominantly in the Indian Film industry and keeps coming up with some gratifying work. Vidyasagar was born in a Telugu musical family, as the son of a self-led musician and music composer Ramachander, and Sooryakantham. He is also known as "Gaanaa" Vidyasagar, and he is an Indian composer, musician, and singer who is best known for his super hit blockbuster songs. He works predominantly in the Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi film industries.

He was named after the 19th-century great social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. His parents supported him at every moment while he wanted to become a singer. He was brought up in the city of Bobbili and got exposed to music due to his father at a very early age of 3. He is a Carnatic vocalist and has performed many classical and Hindustani Concerts. After working with several famous composers as an assistant and as a conductor, Vidyasagar finally made his debut as a music composer in the year 1989 with the Tamil film namely Poomanam. His genres are Film Score, classical music, and World Music. He has collaborated with some very great maestro’s who were some of the leading music directors of their times. Vidyasagar is a rising singer, a performer who is well versed in classical forms of music. There are very few talents, like his in the world.

He is very much liked by his audience. Vidyasagar became an independent film composer and music director and composer with the song En Ambien from the 1989 Tamil movie named Poomanam. He started his music career with a Tamil film; later he gained recognition in the Tamil music industry. He shifted his base to Telugu cinema in 1989. First, he underwent the rigorous Carnatic vocals training and then began taking classical guitar classes in the city of Chennai from the maestro Master Dhanraj along with the Oscar winner A. R. Rahman and then later for piano. He appears to be very caring and benevolent for them. This famous, multi-talented singer and music composer has created chart toppers for Anthikkad's latest movie Jomonte Suvisheshangal, released in 2017.
