, in a middle-class family of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he was raised and brought up in the Maraimalainagar town near Chennai. Since childhood, he has this keen interest in music and musical instruments. He started learning classical violin when he was five years old. He started performing in musical concerts throughout the southern part of the country. He won several awards in competitions held at different musical academies. He went to Trinity College of Music, London to learn Western Classical Piano when he was ten years old. Along with this musical training, he continued his schooling from Shri Anand Jain Vidhyala, Tambaram and became a Chartered Accountant.
